7/13/2012. Drove all the way there from Madison WI to skate for the day. The entire skate park was full of dead bugs, I believe to be dragon flies. Not a thousand or so try millions! We had to buy brooms to sweep tons up just to skate! The park is great, but you have to share with all the kids riding their scooters and bikes all around it that get in the way. A gas station is right across the street, Subway and fried chicken, that is closer than walking back to your parked car at the park. But it was worth the trip. Bring a broom and dust pan, just incase...
This skatepark is now three years old.. and is the best place for youths and oldschool riders to get down and shred....OK OK ya its good and that, but it is also so popular that it bring 40 riders and 100 or more people that are not riders,,,,,mostly kids running around throwing krap and trsh at each other,,, making it reelly hard to get any real riding done.....I see one main fix to make this park a five-star park is to finsh it off with a safe place for all spectators to be around the out-side of the park (YOU WOULDN'T GO TO A BASE BALL GAME AND SIT OR WALL THROUGH THE FIELD AS PLAYERS WERE PLAYING BALL) well thats what is going on here all the time, and trash cans are few and placed out of reach..5-10 more cans would help lots......for the rest of the park its top notch. ( lets find some way to get this park running right )
i really like the park and think that it was a great idea
The Davenport skatepark is great! I don't think there is any skatepark in the midwest that could compare to it. It has everthing for all ability levels. Best times to skate or bike would be early morning where there is less people because it can get busy.
